What's the minimum order for custom printed boxes?
The minimum order quantity for Hero custom shipping boxes is 25 boxes. You can also order a single printed sample to check quality, sizing and print before committing to a full run.
How long do custom printed boxes take?
After your digital proof is approved, custom-printed boxes take 7–8 business days to manufacture and print in our Sydney warehouse. Allow an additional 2–3 business days for proof approval, and an extra 3–4 days during peak season. Orders over 300 boxes may be split across 2–3 deliveries to get them to you faster.
Are Hero custom boxes made in Australia?
Yes. Our cardboard is sourced from Australian post-consumer recycled paper, and every Hero box is manufactured and printed in our Sydney warehouse. Our boxes are FSC certified and 100% recycled.
Are custom shipping boxes recyclable?
Yes. Hero custom boxes are made from 100% recycled corrugated cardboard and are fully kerbside recyclable at end of life.
What file format do I need for my logo or artwork?
Send your artwork as a vector file — .ai, .eps, .svg, or a vector .pdf. Vector files don't pixelate at large sizes. Our team prints exactly what you send, so please double and triple check your artwork before approving the proof.
Should I choose white or brown kraft for my custom box?
Choose White Kraft (or White & Brown Kraft Mix) for full-colour, bright, photographic, or pastel designs. Choose Brown Kraft for black, brown, dark, or earthy artwork. White board makes colours pop; brown board suits natural, kraft-style branding.
Can I order a custom size box?
Yes. Select "Custom Size" in the size drop-down and enter your internal dimensions. Note: custom sizes have some limitations due to our machinery — contact us at hello@heropackaging.com.au if you're unsure whether your size is possible.
How thick is the cardboard?
Hero custom boxes are made from corrugated board between 2.2mm (stronger than E-flute) and 3mm (B-flute) — generally 35–85% thicker than other Australian mailing box suppliers. This makes them strong enough to protect bulky or fragile products in transit.
How accurate are the box dimensions?
All boxes may have a sizing discrepancy of up to 5mm. If you need exact measurements, please email hello@heropackaging.com.au as soon as you place your order.
Can I order more than 250 boxes?
Absolutely. For orders over 250 boxes, please contact our team directly for bulk pricing and confirmed lead times.
Can I get a sample before ordering in bulk?
Yes. We offer single printed sample boxes so you can check size, board and print quality before placing a full order. Basic logo samples ship in 2–3 business days; full-colour samples in 3–7 business days.
Do Hero boxes come flat-packed?
Yes. All custom shipping boxes ship flat-packed for efficient storage and lower freight emissions. Just fold to assemble when you're ready to pack.
